Adding sightings to a Birda session after you have finished the session

If you have finished a session and then discover that you forgot to add a sighting then fear not, Birda has a solution!

If you have finished a session and then discover that you forgot to add a sighting then fear not, Birda has a solution! To add one or more additional sightings to a session you have already closed, simply follow there steps:

  1. Before adding an additional sighting, you will first need to post the session or save it as a draft.

  2. Then go to your profile screen and find and open your draft session or posted session.

  3. Tap on the blue bar displaying the species and sighting counts

  4. Tap on the 'Add Sighting' button at the bottom of the screen

  5. Edit the location where the sighting occurred and tap next in the top right

  6. Select the species you want to ad

  7. Edit the time of the sighting

  8. Edit/add any detail in the new sighting (E.g. photo, description, count etc.) and then tap save in the top right of the 'Review Sighting' screen

  9. Now tap the back icon < in the top left

  10. Not finally tap 'Save' in the top right of the 'Edit Session' screen

WARNING: When adding a sighting to a session, the date and time should be between the start and end date & time of the session. You should not be adding sightings to a session if the sighting occurred at a different location or time period.
