What is the Difference Between 'Easy' and 'Speedy' Session mode?

There are two modes for logging your sessions on Birda, these are Easy mode and Speedy mode.

Easy Mode

Easy mode lets you log one bird at a time. Simple, intuitive and ideal for beginner and casual birdwatchers. It is the mode we first introduced. Once you log a bird, you will be returned to the map, ready to log another bird.

Speedy Mode

Speedy mode is a great way to log all your sightings from a single screen. It's fast, efficient and perfect for people who have used birding apps before. Use the + box next to each species to log your sightings quickly. Once you log a bird, you'll stay on the list page. Don't worry, your map will follow your location. To access the map, press the Map button in the bottom left of your screen.

Changing the Default Session Mode?

There are two ways to switch between Easy and Speedy mode. The first is via your account setting, and the second is from within the session itself.

Changing the Default Session Mode from Account Settings

To change session mode from your account settings, browse to Profile > Settings > Session Settings and then select your preferred mode.

Changing the Default Session Mode from within a Session

To change modes, simply tap on the gear icon that is located to the right of the 'Search species' field, and then select the desired mode. You can even do this in the middle of recording a session πŸ˜€
