Seen something and don't know what it is? The Birda community is a great way of finding out what species it was. Simply post a sighting with the species set to 'Unidentified Species' and receive suggestions from the community. Birda will send your followers a notification asking for their help. You sighting will also enter the Unidentified feed to make sure the Birda community can give you help identifying what you saw!

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the round blue button with a plus (+) sign and tap 'Add Sighting'

  2. Enter the location where you saw the bird.

  3. Then select 'Unidentified Species' at the top of the species list.

  4. Next, add a photo on the 'Review Sighting' screen. It is helpful to add a photo (if you have one!) or a detailed description of the bird and what it was doing. This will help other users to try and identify it for you!

  5. Now just save your sighting and wait for the species suggestions to flow in :)
