We want to thank the Birda community for the constant enthusiasm and inquiries about AI-based bird call/song identification. At present, we understand your interest and need for a feature that uses artificial intelligence to identify birds based on their unique calls or songs. However, as of now, Birda does not support this functionality.

We know that bird calls and songs are a significant aspect of bird behaviour and can serve as a reliable identification method. Unfortunately, this requires a technology integration that we have not yet implemented.

Will Birda add bird call identification in the future?

The good news is that we're in the process of developing this feature. The future of Birda includes an AI-based bird call/sing identification system that can recognize bird species from their calls. We are hopeful and excited about this development as it brings us one step closer to making Birda a comprehensive tool for all bird lovers, researchers, and conservationists.

We will keep our user community updated with progress reports and announce the launch date once we are closer to completion. Your patience and understanding as we work on this enhancement are greatly appreciated.
