Seen something and don't know what it is? The Birda community is a great way of finding out what species it was. Simply post a sighting with the species set to 'Unidentified Species' and receive suggestions from the community. Birda will also send your followers a notification to make sure your sighting isn't missed by anyone!

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the round blue button with a plus (+) sign and tap 'Add Sighting'

  2. Enter the location where you saw the bird.

  3. Then select 'Unidentified Species' at the top of the list.

  4. It is helpful to add a photo (if you have one!) or a detailed description of the bird and what it was doing. This will help other users to try and identify it for you!

  5. Now just post your sighting and wait for the species suggestions to flow in :)

Other users will be able to see your unidentified species and vote their suggestions on what it is.
