Birda has released a brand new feature to really help connect you with other birders. Challenge your friends and family to a Private Challenge on Birda and take your birding to the next level!
How can I set up a Private Challenge?
Press the + button in the top right of the Challenges page.
You'll enter the Create Challenge page where you'll be able to set the perametres for your Private Challenge. Here you'll be able to -
Upload a Cover Photo for your Challenge
Upload a Challenge Logo
Name your Challenge
Specify the Challenge Goal. Choose between Number of Species and Days Wild.
If you're choosing Number of Species, enable or disable only Tickable Species.
Select the date and time for your challenge to Start and End, and add a description for the people you invite.
REMEMBER - Once you press Create Challenge, you cannot go back to edit this screen.
Once your challenge has been created, you can invite your friends on Birda, or share the invite to others via social media. You can only invite birders who follow you on Birda and you can always invite more people as your challenge continues.
Your Challenges will be Private to those who are not invited.

What kind of Private Challenges can I create?
Choose between Number of Species and Days Wild. If you're choosing Number of Species, enable or disable only Tickable Species.
How long can I set my Private Challenge for?
You can set your challenge for any time!
Who can I invite to a Private Challenge?
You can invite people who follow you. You can also invite people who are not on Birda either by sharing the challenge.
Can I go back and edit my Private Challenge?
No, you won't be able to edit your Private Challenge after you've created your challenge. You will be able to invite birders to your Private Challenge after you've created the challenge.
Who can see my Private Challenge?
Only those who are invited to your Private Challenge will be able to see your private challenge. Nobody else on Birda can see your challenge.
As a free Birda user, how many Private Challenges can I try?
You'll be able to create OR join up to THREE Private Challenges as a free Birda user. Subscribe to Birda+ to create and join unlimited Private Challenges.
What happens when I run out of tries?
You won't be able to create or join more Private Challenges if you have run out of tries. Subscribe to Birda+ to create and join unlimited Private Challenges.
