Birda supports exporting sightings records from the platform so that our users have the freedom to use their sightings data as they choose. We never want our users to get the sense that they are 'locked' into the Birda platform.

Here are a few examples of what you can do with your exported sightings data:

  • Create a private backup of all of your sighting records.

  • If you ever choose to move to another birding platform, Birda's exports will make your move as easy as possible.

  • Use Birda to record your sightings and then export your records so that you can submit them to a specific initiative. E.g. Audubon's Christmas Bird Count
